Why Blogs Have Overrun Newspaper

I remember back to when I was anywhere from nine to fifteen years old. My father would always be reading the newspaper on Sunday mornings. I would sometimes ask what he was reading about, so he would explain to me things about taxes or the new project to repair the roads in our small town. None of those things ever interested me because what kind of young teenager ever cared about things that did not interest them. That is where the new world of blogging comes into play. Blogs have such a variety of topics that would apply to many different ages and cultures of people around the world.

I do not like to read, if I am going to be honest, but there are some things that I love to read about when I get my hands on the right topic. One topic that I enjoy reading about is sports. They have always been a huge part of my life from a young age. As I go through the web now I can find all sorts of articles that write about sports. If I would have had access to articles like these when I was young I know for a fact that I would read them just like my dad did with the newspaper.

In today’s world many more kids have access to blogs then when i was young. Newspapers are still around today and serve good purpose to those who choose to read them. Blogs have become like a massive newspaper for kids like me and all other ages. I can literally go on the web and type “blogs about sports nutrition” within seconds so many articles will be presented before my eyes. Some may be popular writers and some may be just enthuseiastic teenages writing about how little they know. There are many different cultures and beliefs in this world that instead of reading your county’s newspaper you can read about events and beliefs that are happening all across the world.

The paper world may be getting taken over by blogging, but that should not be the main mission for the tech world. What we read about at the beginning of our blogging experience, google might be making us stupid, so our world should be sure to keep a good balance between the two ways of reading. I do believe that the older way of doing things, without technology makes humans much more mentally strong. Now there might not be many stats that today’s technology world is really making us mentally weak, but what we are doing, is different and some people are starting to realize a difference in mental thoughts.

I believe the blogging world is connecting people from huge parts of this world to the smallest parts all around. Kids can read about all sorts of sports from different countries and learn how to play them along with keeping up with how their teams are doing through updates in blogs from the people in that specific sport. This does not just go for sports either anyone who doesn’t like to read will surely find something in their interest within a couple seconds on the web.
