Unhealthy Nutrition
It starts with just one candy bar or soda and next its one a day then it’s an addiction to sweets. It’s so easy to get on a bad nutritional track. Human bodies want the things that taste so good even though they are harmful to our bodies and wellbeing. Unhealthy nutrition can impact the human body and mind in so many ways. Negative effects are seen widely and prove why healthy nutrition is important for everyone regardless of age, gender, or race.
Nutrition is important starting with people’s bodies. Bad nutrition has a major effect on our bodies. Eating chips, candy, and other junk food can cause horrendous damage to our bodies. The United States is the most obese country in the world and that has part to do with how unhealthy Americans eat. Obesity is a major problem that needs to be tackled. People need to stop eating such highly processed and artificial foods. Enough with the high sugar and salt. We need natural foods for our bodies. Healthy food like lean meats and green vegetables. The more natural the better. There are so many artificial foods that people eat so commonly and don’t even stop to think about the effects. We need to stop putting so much unhealthy stuff in front of people to change this. It’s hard with all the advertisements out there that show people enjoying these unhealthy foods. Another health issue from unhealthy foods is diabetes. Diabetes is something that can change your life forever. It’s not easy and even less fun. Having to take insulin and always check your blood for sugar levels. To stop this from getting any worse people need to start eating healthier. It just takes a few small steps to make a world of change. Another health effect that are caused by poor nutrition is high blood pressure. High blood pressure is hard on your body. It puts you at risk of clogging your arteries and having a heart attack. All of these are things that can be avoided with better nutrition and keep people’s bodies healthier.
Furthermore, eating unhealthily can affect your emotions and mind as well. Its been proven that people who eat more junk food are lazier and less motivated than those who eat healthy. Those who eat unhealthy also have less energy and feel more depressed. They then eat more unhealthy food when feeling down and it turns into a cycle. Eating healthy can make you happier and give you more energy which lasts longer. Eating healthier foods also stimulates your brain immensely more than unhealthy junk foods. Our brains are one of our biggest assets as humans, why waste them by not allowing them to reach their potential? One of the most insightful facts is that people who consume more unhealthy foods are surprisingly less happy. Happiness is something we as humans thrive for. That dopamine that releases during happiness is a natural pleasure people crave. Eating healthier can make the difference is someone’s whole attitude. Eating better and taking care of our mental state is just as important as our physical bodies.
People only get one life, so why not make it the best possible one? The start is eating healthier and more nutritious. A change needs to happen now, and it all starts with making changes in our everyday lives. Eat a better breakfast, get a more well-balanced diet, or be more active.
Change isn’t always easy but in the long run it will be for the better. People will physically and mentally be better off with better nutrition and healthier lifestyles.
